New Lillybrook Bandstand

Lillybrook have just completed construction of a new wooden bandstand seating area located over the far side of our field (nearest the MOD Base).

The bandstand will offer residents sweeping views of the old airfield.

In conjunction with our recently granted planning for 12 new homes, this bandstand will form part of a new green park area, which will also feature a small lake.

All residents will be able to access this area via our walkway around the edge of the field, which we will begin work on next year.

Although this area is currently closed to residents, we plan to open it once work on the Lake has been completed and the hedging that will form the walkway planted.

Lillybrook make improvements to public footpath

Lillybrook have recently made improvements to the public footpath which runs along the top of the park overlooking Dauntsey Vale.

We used much of our excess soil stock to fill a large subsidence area of the footpath, making it much more level and considerably wider through that particular area.

The grass seed we planted has now grown through and has integrated itself seamlessly with the rest of the footpath.

Lillybrook provide new fence for Bradenstoke Village Hall

Following seven years with Lillybrook being the major sponsor of St Marys Church Window Fund, the refurbishment of the windows is now complete. They can now be opened for the first time since the Second World War.

As part of our efforts to support the local community Lillybrook are now going to offer some support to Bradenstoke Village Hall.

We were asked to design, fabricate and supply a fence along the Village Hall boundary wall, which was completed last week, and we were delighted to receive a thank you card from the Village Hall Committee.

In the past when we had scrap metal to take for recycling, resultant money was paid to St Marys Church Window Fund. We have now asked the Recycling Company that in future for any scrap metal we take to them they make payment to Bradenstoke Village Hall instead.

Everybody’s kindness has made this show possible.

On behalf of your committee, we thank you.

Over the decades Lillybrook Estate Ltd have always supported local community events and where possible and plan to continue to do so.

BH&HPA 2017 Conference

Philip attended the BH&HPA Annual Conference held in January 2017 at the Birmingham Metropole. There were a variety of useful seminars and presentations, which we feel will improve the operation of our Parks.

The attached photograph is of Philip being congratulated by David Bellamy for Lillybrook retaining the David Bellamy Conservation Award – Gold.

We are delighted to continue to hold the gold award for a further year, and are always striving to improve our environmental credentials.

New Lillybrook Seating Area

folly1

The Lillybrook staff have recently constructed a new seating area on the grass verge opposite the field. The steel folly was handmade and surrounds a slabbed area with a wooden bench. Beryl Cutts (No.79 Lillybrook) and ourselves have decided to dedicate the Bench in loving memory of Roy Cutts, Beryl’s husband who lived happily on the Park for 13 years. We hope that the shrubs Beryl has kindly planted will in time, grow up through the folly to form a semi enclosed area for residents to sit and enjoy the views.

Britain In Bloom

This is the second year that the Parish Council has entered Lyneham & Bradenstoke into Britain in Bloom and this time the village was reviewed in sections. This is the first year in which Lillybrook has been judged as its own section. We are delighted to say that both Lyneham and Bradenstoke recieved a silver award for the combined entry of both villages.

Lillybrook was honoured with an additional award for our eco homes and developments in eco-friendly fields. We feel that this award justifies our  efforts towards a greener Britain.

Lillybrook At The 2015 Newbury Park Home Show

Lillybrook are proud to announce that we will be showcasing our latest park home, a 41ft x 20ft Homeseeker Affinity at the Newbury Park Home Show on 15th – 17th May 2015. The home will be located on the Prestige / Homeseeker stand.

Lillybrook Sales Director Philip Burchell and Sales Executive Luke Burchell will be present inside the home over the whole 3 days and will be able to answer any questions customers may have.

After the show the home will be transported to Church Park, where it will be sited on plot No.24. We anticipate the home will be completed and ready to view from mid June.

We welcome all visitors and look forward to seeing you at the show.

Bellamy Gold Award Presented To Lillybrook

Lillybrook are proud members of the David Bellamy Conservation Award scheme. For 2014/15 we were honoured with the Gold standard award for our continuing commitment to conservation and the environment.

At the recent BH&HPA annual conference in Cardiff we had the opportunity to have the award presented to us by David Bellamy himself. He is an extremely popular figure amongst those dedicated to environmental preservation and we were delighted to have our photograph taken with him.

We found the conference to be very informative and came away with some wonderful new ideas which we hope to further explore implementing onto both of our Parks in future.

New Home Arrival On Lillybrook

We are happy to announce the arrival of two new residents at Lillybrook Park. Steve and Jenny Cook are due to move into No.42 soon after the arrival of their new home.

The home in question is a 48ft x 20ft state of the art Homeseeker Sofia, boasting an array of energy saving features including an air source heat pump, SIP panelled flooring and rainwater harvester. The home is due for arrival on site in late February, and shall be situated on the empty plot adjacent to No.41.

The location flaunts a breathtaking view, playing host to the rolling hills and panning horizon. Coupled with the crisp air of the countryside, is there anything else that better embodies the spirit of Wiltshire?
